WILL We, the class of 1951, in sound mind and healthy physique, after four strenuous years, do make this our last will and testament. Each article here described is bequeathed severally to the below mentioned individuals according to the terms of this will and testament ' We hereby declare all previous promises to pay, wills or test aments made by this class as null and void . Patty Rust bequeathes her ability to get on the main basket ball team to Elaine Eckart, who would appreciate it, and her acrobatic way of doing things to Paul Iszler Alice Schmidt bequeathes her giggling ability during study period to Mary Ann Eckart and her ability to keep the streets of Harvey occupied on Saturday nights to Shirley Michelson Betty Wangen bequeathes her red hair to Geraldine Eckart and her roughness to Delores Weber Lois Fiesel bequeathes her slim waist line to Lillian Helm and her ability to sing alto to Ardes Filler. Phyllls Hill bequeathes her ability to learn to speak German to Shirley Nelson and her ability to play the piano to Verna Huber Jack Kost wills his neat handwriting to Eileen Schauer and his elevated boots to Arnold Weber We, as the Senior Class of 1951 do will our ability to have long class meetings to the Senior Class of 1952 PROPHEGY May 24, 1961 My, how fast these last ten years have Sona! I guess I'll go to see the kids many of us there were to see the class of 1951 Well, here's a nice I graduated with I can hardly remember how I'll just climb into my rocket and zoom around farm I guess I'll circle it and get a better There is Phyllis carrying a milk pail, and what's following her? Dear me, four little Dockters, twins too She certainly did well for her self Here's where Betty and Valley live My, that class certainly was struck on farmers She never told me about Reiny, her third child, either She looks as carefree as ever I guess I may as well go to Minneapolis and look up Patricia Rust She was graduated from Gale Institution six years ago There she is now coming out of that cafe, and I'm certain that is Rueben Mueller next to her I caught that glitter on her left hand They do make a nice couple, and they are both employed in the Great Northern Depot, too Now off to New York and model clothes, and work in Funny, she never got married Now we are back to good eggy and Jack Kost live Imagine Jack being the nPop Home at last, and am I tired! It surely was good kids again, Lois, Patty, Betty, Phyllis, and Jack All and me You should have gotten married too, Alice Someone will break down and propose, I'm only twenty and the novelty of livlng as an old mald is wearing off Lois Fiesel Who would ever expect Lois to that large store for Broadway Fashions old Martin and here is the Kost farm where of five to see all those married but Lois Well, perhaps eight, you know, fast 1 - 2. e ' 5. CLASS HISTORY On the bright and sunny morning of September 5, 1959, nine eager be- ginners started school. The teacher Miss Dorothy Simon enrolled Tom Feld- man, Lois Fiesel, A1-Rita Heer, Jack Kost, Patty Rust, Betty Jean Schild- berger, Dela Rose Steier, Clarence Bertsch, and James Heitman In the second grade the same teacher enrolled the same number of p pils. Clarence Bertsch and Betty Jean Schildberger left us. Ruth Kessler and Anton Feldman joined us The third grade decreased our number to eight Joseph Steier joined the class and the Feldman boys left The teacher was Miss Pauline Efimenko Alice Schmidt joined the class in October making it nine The fourth grade brought our enrollment up to ten Miss Frieda Ortman enrolled one new member who was Franklin Mueller The same teacher enrolled the fifth grade whose number was reduced to eight, with Franklin Mueller, Joseph and Dela Rose Steier leaving us and Marvin Mueller joining our ranks The sixth grade remained the same in person and number The teacher was Mrs Erna Bruner Miss Marnie Fritz enrolled Patty Rust, Ruth Kessler, Alice Schmidt, Lois Fiesel, Jack Kost, Donald Lesmeister, and Myron Schmidt in the seventh rade S Ruth Kessler and Myron Schmidt left us with six eighth graders remain ing Miss Marnie Fritz was our teacher the last year in the grades In 1947 there were ten green freshman taking the big step into high school They were Marion Appelt, Lois Fiesel, Al Rita Heer, Jack Kost, Patty Rust, Alice Schmidt, Harold Schmidt, Betty Wangen, Dennis Wangen, and Daryl Hoepfer. Our teachers were Mr John Beck and Mr William Welsh In the Sophomore class four members dropped out They were Marion Ap pelt, Harold Schmidt, Dennis Wangen and Daryl Hoepfer Mr. John Beck re mained as teacher and Mr. Harold Michelson took Mr Welsh's place. In the Junior year, Al Rita Heer moved to Harvey leaving Jack Kost, Allce Schmidt, Lois Fiesel, Patty Rust, and Betty Wangen The teachers were Mrs Lois Speak and Mr Harold Michelson This year Phyllis Hill joined olr class The total enrollment is six brilliant seniors The teachers were Mr Donald Tofteland and Mr Harold Michelson SENIOR NEWS President Betty Wangen Secretary Phyllis Hill Treasurer Patty Rust Class colors Rose and silver Class flower White Rose Class Motto nLess than our best is failure There are six active seniors in our 1950 1951 class Four of the girls are on the Girls' Basketball Team They are as follows Patty Rust, Betty Wangen, Alice Schmidt, and Lois Fiesel The one remaining girl, Phyllis Hill, is a cheerleader for the Pep Squad. The one and only boy, Jack Kost, adds the masculine touch to the class The seniors presented their class play, The Funny Bratsn, in which all of them participated Betty and Patty took part in the one act play which took top honors at Denhoff All the members of the Senior Class are on the Annual Staff un O . .
