Norton, R. Gardner. Sfudent Council The Student Council, after early organization problems due to the lack of an advisor, arranged school elections and helped make new adjustments in school policy. The council experienced further conflicts with the switchover to the Tisbury School, but finally united to plan various fund raising events to provide a scholarship for a deserving senior. Due to the unstable conditions surrounding this year ' s council, participation was not as successful as expected, but we hope that future M students will take the initiative to become involved in their school. Norton, J. Moore. Row 4: R. White, Ben Kindzia, Advisor. Membership in the National Honor Society carries with it a great deal of prestige and merit. Enrollment is predicated on academic achievement, service to the school and community, character, and demonstration of leadership qualities. Members are chosen under advisement of a faculty council. The object of this organization is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, and to encourage the development of character in all students. Activities during this year included a formal Induction Dinner, contributions to the community welfare, and educational field trips.
