DEDICATION We, the class of nineteen hundred and seventy two, dedicate our yearbook to SPECIAL THINGS: To rolling surf and calm n ights at Katama; to rainy nights and fire¬ places; to Da Beach: to blackberries and summer rain; to a memory of Cape Pogue, and the pounding surf of Katama; to the Islander, the Nobska, and the Uncatena and winter week-ends; to September 19, 1971; to my gun; to the Bug; to Portugal; to the Baron; to a new and exciting life style: to Bracken; to Rocky, Bandit, Tom, Dick, and Marry: to “February ’70’’: to Limmy; to “Weegie Man’’; to August 31, 1971; to the Core Program and hopes that it will be greater in the years to come; to the beauty of the earth, the sky, the sea and the sun; to sun¬ sets at Gay Head; to being with a certain person; to Middle Road and old friends; to January 7; to the “dump Wagon”: to Cookie Jar Smiles; to May 30, 1970; to dandilion wine, potato whiskey, and the old blue tent; to Mollie; to flowers, feathers, and dandilion necklaces and the simple things that give life meaning; to watching a thunder and light¬ ning storm at 4:00 A.M. from your bedroom window; to the summer of ’71; to Sam’s Patella; to the storm at Squibnocket; to Lambert’s Cove; to May 10, 1 969; to Tiger; to Motorbike 1 149 D; to the summer of ’68; to oneness; to 105 Archdale Road, Rosindale, Mass.; to Gannon Col¬ lege; to long hot windy Sundays at Katama; to the back of a 1 965 Scout; to the uniqueness, beauty and serenity of the Island and the hope of awakening a new awareness in the American People; to a cer¬ tain person at a certain place at a certain time; to Scrubby Neck Farm and My mother; to the life behind and the future held in trembling hands.
