Class History Four years ago the summer turned to fall as always, but one thing was dif¬ ferent — we were the insignificant freshmen instead of the irreplaceable eighth graders. From the first day of school we thought we had nothing to worry about except graduation. How wrong we were! From the start we were blessed with our advisors, Mrs. Leonard and Mr. Hoar (I really feel sorry for them to think what we put them through) and our freshman class president, Barbara Devine. Judy Andrade and Gary Leighton were chosen as Miss and Mr. Freshman class. Barbara was all set to get right to work and raise the funds we would need, but unfortunately, there were one hundred and twenty-three other freshmen who weren’t quite as en¬ thusiastic. The first money raising activity was a Mother-Daughter, Father-Son bas¬ ketball game. It really drew the crowds (and the money). School let out in the spring, summer slipped by, and we were Sopho¬ mores. We felt a little more secure our Sophomore year, because the seniors had a new class to laugh about . . . and at! Gary Leighton was chosen Class president. Sally Nevin and James Ferreira were picked as Miss and Mr. Sophomore class. Under the leadership of Gary, we had a Mod Day,” where students, and faculty, could wear anything they wanted. Some students even went as far as to paint their faces in multi-colored swirls. The whole day was really a suc¬ cess. We had a Tag Day,” soon after our Mod Day,” on which a student, or several students, could tag another person who would have to carry all their books . . . ALL OF THEM! And as usual we had food sales. Soon after our last sale in the spring, it was summer . . . Spo nsored by CRANBERRY ACRES CAMPSITES LOBSTER IN RUFF” M. S.
