Richard Smith left us at the end of the first semester. Our class officers are: Merlyn Sinn., President: Clarence Campbell, Vice President: Carroll Emerson, Secretary-'lireasurerg and Phyllis Berry. News Reporter. Mrs. Cramer is our class sponsor. Lfnder her supervision we have enjoyed one class party so far this year. Carroll Emerson was our candidate for llomecoming Queen and was crowned Homecoming Queen in 1945. Under the supervision of Mrs. Opperman, we gave our class play, i'Aunt Samanthy Rules the Roost, October 29th. lt was well attended. With the proceeds from our play we plan to entertain the Seniors at Grace Ransom Tea Room for our junior-Senior banquet. Our class was well represented in basketball. Since the first of the year we have lost four students. They are Marjorie Vonk, Charles and Nlary long, and Katherine Chit- tenden. There are six students that have had all their education at Martens- dale. They are Wilma llakes, Phyllis Strable, Charles Voss, Ivan Nicholl, William Reinholdt, and james Adams. Our class officers are: Charles Yoss, President: Lila Spick, Vice President: Catherine Wood, Secretary, Faye Stroud, Treasureri and james Adams, Reporter. During the year we had two class parties. Due to the change in the teaching staff we had two sponsors. They were Mrs. Griffith, and Mr. Landess. We had six girls and four boys out for basketball. Five boys are out for baseball. Catherine Wood represented our class as a Queen Candidate.
