He also leaves his ability to get along with the girls to Gene McLaughlin. Faune Maxwell wills her way to love to Clarence Campbell who should already know from listening to her telephone conversations. CLASS PROPHECY Upon returning home from a trip abroad I picked up a newspaper and on leafing through it I saw in big black letters, 'JOHNSON MODELS. After reading a little further I discovered that the Powers Models had been taken over by a young couple from Iowa. It seems that jane johnson had applied as a model and had gained fame so quickly she took over the company. The article said she attributed her beauty to being raised on a farm in Iowa. An idea struck me and I woadered if it could be the same jane that went to school with me, and when I looked her up I discovered her to be the very same. Of course when we started talking about old times we decided to inquire around and find out where all our old schoolmates were. jane knew that Dorothy Wilson was working in a Veteran's hospital in Chicago so we started out. After a few inquiries we found that Dorothy was a registered nurse now and very well liked by all the sailors. After feeling a few pulses and bidding some a short good-bye she We went straight to Des Moines and found that much a-buzz about the boys Basketball tournament be going on then. We decided to spend the evening To our surprise we found that Martensdale had won round and was playing a little town called Monona Iowa. We saw an old bent-over man take his place joined us. everyone there was which happened to watching the finals. its way to the final located in northern on the Martensdale bench. We finally decided he must be the coach and looking on the program we found his name to be Mr. Cramer and sitting beside him with a new lapel pin on her jacket was Mrs. Cramer. Ah! Now Monona's team came out on the floor. We found their coach to be none other than Robert Wiedmann, and there was a little lady sitting beside him who was none other than our old schoolmate, Marilyn Hunget, now Mrs. Robert Wiedmann. We later found out that their team was composed mostly of their own children which made a very good team. We won't say who won, but both teams tried to use the same plays. Mr. Cramer told us we could find several more of our classmates in Martensdale so we started out in two cars. We were soon lost when we entered Martensdale which had grown to be quite a large town. We decided to ask our way to the Fix Up at B and j's Shop. We entered and found William Crow running a very successful Barber shop and jean Brownlie was an expert beauty operator there. William and jean had gone through Beauty Culture school together but they were not married yet. People said William just hadn't got up enough courage to ask her yet. Faune, but no longer Maxwell, wired that she had just gained entrance to Dorsey's famous orchestra and that she found Edith Hendrickson was playing the drums and also instructing a few jitterbug classes on the side line. As soon as we found that out we wired for them to come immedi- ately. William and jean told us that Rose Ann Emerson McNeer was on a farm near Martensdale, so we gathered there and had a real party. We had a swell time, in spite of the fact that Rose Ann had a hard time keeping her little son in bed. 4' III 11111111 - 1 -u1un1uu 111111111-1 in as ll
