CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of 1946, being of sound mind, make, declare, and publish this to be our last will and testament. The Seniors leave their diplomas to the juniors, who think they deserve them anyway. William Crow wills his height and ambition to john Connors. jane Spick leaves her late hours to Audrey Clark and Betty Brick, who have so many dates after basketball games. Edith Hendrickson leaves her love for Tuna Fish and Noodles to anyone that will take it. , Rose Ann Emerson wills her ability to sell ads to the junior class. Marilyn Hunget wills her - - - - No, she says she needs everything she's got. Robert Wiedmann wills his ability to keep Hamm's house clean and to take care of johnnie to Phil Hunget. He also leaves his ability to get along with the girls to Gene McLaughlin. Faune Maxwell wills her way to love to Clarence Campbell who should already know from listening to her telephone conversations. Mirney Martens leaves her love for a certain junior boy to the Freshman girls, who would like to have him anyway. Dorothy Wilson leaves her love for sailors to Doris Seymour, who is always whistling at them. She also leaves her speed in typing to Ray Dooley, who is still on lesson ten. GLASS HISTORY The Senior class of I946 started its Freshman year with twenty-two pupils. During this year we lost Enid Hansell, Lloyd Faux, Robert Allen, Dale Hulbert, and Anthony LaFratte. We had two parties during the year with Miss Bassett as our sponsor and Gerald Stewart as our class president. Enid Hansell represented our class as candidate for Home- coming Queen. We started our Sophomore class with fourteen members. During this year we lost Bill Magnusson and Wayne Lucas. Richard Lathrum joined us from St. Charles. We had two class parties during the year with Mrs. Wallace as our sponsor and Mirney Martens as our class president. jane Spick was our class candidate for Homecoming Queen. She also was elected Queen. We started our junior year with eleven members, but soon lost Gerald Stewart who joined the Navy. We also gained Rose Ann Emerson and Edith Fulkerson. We had two parties during the year with Mrs. Cramer as our sponsor and Robert Wiedmann as our president. Mirney Martens was our class candidate for Homecoming Queen. She also was elected Queen. On November l, our class presented our class play, SIMPLE SIMON SIMPLE, to a large and appreciative audience. The proceeds were used to entertain the Seniors at the Annual junior and Senior Banquet in Des Moines on April IS. We started our Senior year with twelve overly ambitious Seniors. During the year we lost Richard Husted. Mr. Cramer was our class sponsor. William Crow was our class president: Faune Maxwell, treasurer, Dorothy Wilson, vice president, and jean Brownlie, secretary. Dorothy Wilson represented our class as Queen Candidate. We had our class pictures taken january 7th at Woltz's in Des Moines. Faune Maxwell, Mirney Martens, jean Brownlie, and William Crow are the only ones in the class who have had all their grade and High School training at Martensdale. Our class play, Border Buckaroos , was given March 19 to a large and appreciative audience. We have our Baccalaureate services, May Sth, and graduation May 8th, School will be out May l0th.
