THIRD ROW: Delbert Bilger, Lois Baer, Keith Miller, Bobby Stevens, Caro1'Honaker, Louise Baer, Barbara Winters, Judy Hunley, Lonnie Stakey. FOURTH ROW: Mrs. Lyon, Buddy Lew, Johnny Goldsmith, Dennis Rice, Bobby Kennedy, Ruth Green, Virginia Wollum, We began this year with 31 students in both grades, Later George Holbrook moved and these people entered, Carol McKinniss in the sixth grade, and Connie McKinniss, Margaret Bailey, and Buddy Lew in the fifth grade, At present we have Z0 fifth graders and 14 sixth graders, making 34 in all, Too we have 17 girls and 17 boys. It was very nice to come back to our newly decorated building as well as the new gymnasium. We also, for the first time in our room, 'have tables and chairs for all of the pupils, Some of these, too, were new last fall, We all enjoyed our Christmas program, even though it was a lot of work, and we had to work very hard to make up for the classes we missed, when we had practice.

Thirty-three boys and girls have participated in the activities of our room this year, We returned to school in the cheerful atmosphere of a shiny newly-decorated room with new furniture, Famous birthdays and holidays are marked each year but each group finds new ways of remembrance, We enjoyed making little gifts for our parents, and our own Christmas gift exchange, We have read stories, poems, and short plays, Valentine Day and Holloween were party days with games and refreshments. The Christmas program gave us a chance to be messengers, skaters, negroes, and cowboys. It was fun, School is fun but school is work, too, There have been good days and some that were not so good. Some have found new work presenting a real challenge. The old quotation, All sunshine would make a desert, is well to remember when we have a difficulty to master. 's
