But alas, all is not well for it appears muddy, No, it's changing. I see Melvin Lawrence, that tall, dark and handsome gentleman from Oklahoma, who is operating a very profitable oil well in that state. still farther into the depths of my crystal ball I see the athletic wonder of the world, who has accepted a Vassar College. He was always popular with the ladies. As I gaze Everett Paine, coaching job at Wait! We before my eyes. are shifting over to Africa, A familiar figure looms up It's none other than Dorolene Volkmer, one of the world's foremost explorers, just returning to her camp on the run. A jungle mouse was chasing her. ' As the scene changes I can see Rosalie Williams as she stands be- fore a class of young girls in her beauty saloon. Rosalie owns one of gAmerica's most profitable beauty saloons. It is located near the movie 5 S studios in Hollywood, k 1 5 Hollywood fades very slowly before my eyes as New York's Metro- igpolitan Studios come in view, There I see Mary Wolfe who has become a Qworld famous opera singer. She got her start as a singer in church. 1 . 1 w In the building across the street from the Metropolitan Studios I Iisee Louise Law who is busying herself taking dictation from her boss. f3Louise has proved to be an excellent secretary. She hopes to be the ?gPresident's secretary in a year or so. E As time goes by, a different view appears in my crystal. I see 5gLennard Smith tutoring a speaking class and according to what people y. sr -f fl say he has done more talking than almost any other person alive and should be suited for his job, , . E v I Next is Eugene Anderson, world's most famous artist, who is draw- ing a picture of a beautiful young lady in a garden of roses, The model is none other than Susie Muguira. ,Q fi' -A The scene shifts to the main street of New York, There I see Ray Loosli, a bald-headed man. He is not so terribly old but he becames bald-headed from the worry of caring for his thirteen children: three of 5 2 2 y O I f I Q 5, 2 which are triplets, Gollyl The scene changes to the plains way out west. I see Eldon w :T 3 Ward out herding cattle. Woopeyl He fell off his horse, I guess he never was a very good cowboy because he couldn't even sit on a stool in s I arg- ,.:.g,,..,.,.. ,

Oh! The Crystal's Cracking! No wonder look who I see. It's Maud Young the girl about town. There I see her mopping floors in her 52 room boarding house. The scene shifts to an exciting scene down near the water front. It's a fire! The only outstanding figure I can see is Phyllis Peterson who is a reporter for the UNSW York Sun.u The reflection of the fire suddenly dies away and now England comes into view. Here we see Leo Simpkins studying at Oxford Univer- sity after having won a scholarship from the University of Idaho. Into my crystal ball I now see the vision of John Seitz. He is a world famous chemist and has recently put a new louse powder on the market, for the extermination of such pests as girls. As the chemistry laboratory fades away into the distance a vision of Arthur Bish, the sleepy head of Ul's graduating class comes into sight. He is teaching in one of the local high schools and all of his students seem to be quite bored by the lecture. Forrest Coates, who has been preaching at the Church of Marsing, finally got transferred to India where he is still preaching. His wife and four children have gone to India with him, A matrimonial bureau in Hollywood comes into View and two very becoming young ladies are seated at a desk, Hany others are lined up before the desk. Vera Nelson and Faye Guthridge have been quite suc- cessful in finding suitable companions for not only their friends but themselves. Right on out the highway into the country the crystal ball takes us to a ranch where a big celebration is being held. Bette Willin is riding a beautiful Indian pony before a group of Hollywood celebrities. Bette has been trick riding for a number of years, What is this? Why it's Mr. McLaughlin the retired school master of l9Ul. He really saw no reason why he should go on teaching after he found a pot of gold under his back-door-step. The scenery changes to a sheep ranch in the Owyhee foothills where Kenneth Ovregaard is employed. All he has to do is herd the sheep but the poor guy has lost most of them. It's quite a change from chemistry to herding sheep. As we still gaze into the crystal ball we can see Edwin Carlson as he answers the door of one of America's millionaires.
