The We, The Staff Of Marshwood Yearbook present the fourth edition of the REED 1 Mrs. Obrey — Advisor Sometimes a group of parents and friends quietly and devot- edly give hours of their time, energy, and support toward the success of a school activity. Such a group has been the Athletic Boosters of Marshwood High School to whom we lovingly dedi- cate the Marshwood Reed for 1970. 2 This year the Yearbook Staff and the Seniors wish to thank our administrators for the part they have played in making our school a truly outstanding educational unit in the area. Under your guidance we have developed a one- ness of spirit which enables us to say with pride that we are truly Marshwoodians , we have gained a much coveted accreditation which gives us recog- nition in the field of education, and, we have stead- ily gained prestige in sports, music, and other ex- tracurricular activities which make us a formidable opponent in all competitive activities. Our wish, therefore, is that under your guidance that Marshwood will continue to grow with the needs of its students; and that it will always be an educational unit respected by its students, its gradu- ates, and the members of the community. They also presented the school with a new dress code, organized a judiciary board of students, sponsored several assemblies and wrote a new and feasible constitution. They closed the year by sponsoring class and Student Council elections. 76 National Honor Society The National Honor Society has had a busy year. The major objective has been to earn money for scholarships. The money-making projects were: the “Hawk Shop , the sale of school jackets, basket- ball concessions, gift shop sales, a Fun-In, and the sponsoring of a play. Their service projects consisted of tutoring for high school students, the serving of refreshments for the Open House, and the purchase of several books for the school library. 77 B A N D Bottom Row: V. This has been a most satisfying pro- gram for all who have been involved in it. 84 KING AND QUEEN CANDIDATES Debbie, Vicki, Chris, Brenda, Joyce, Nancy, Tim, Bobby, Brad, Billy, Tommy, Queen of 1968 Prom, Bobby and Diane Brett Seated: King and n Oriental Fantasy This is the Class of 1970's final tribute to the faculty and students of Marshwood High School. Before graduation the Seniors wish to leave Marshwood with a bit of humor. We scratched our heads for inspiration and finally came up with “Bits Pieces , a combination of laughter and art. After what Marshwood has given to us, we feel that we should leave some Bits Pieces in return. V .e? e c 88 90 Remember When . . . ? Remember Them . . . ?
