rr 1 MARSHFIELD, HOMECOMING ihi nc ' i. It was a sunny, slightly breezy day, perfect weather for such an occasion. As half time rolled around the band members, majorettes, and cheerleaders demonstrated the results of their long practices in front of a cheering crowd. The anticipation built up until the highlight of the day occurred. Three representative girls were chosen for the homecoming court. Second runner up was Linda Mirachi, first runner up was Jill Ellis, and Queen Michelle Curtis. After a disappointing loss 32-20 to Taunton, crowds flocked home to rest up for the dance. At this time, the King and “Princes” were honored. Brian Shaunessy was the second runner up, Mike Picard, our first runner up, and the King Scott Almeder. Flowers and gifts were given to these recipients as well as semifinalists . . . Becky Pesko, Kim DaIzwII, Andy Cushman, and Ged Driscoll. 1986 TIDE MR. PAUL GRAY Mr. Gray is a special person with years of dedication to a profession which is rarely recognized for its difficulty and importance. His reward is to see his students learn and grow. The Class of 1986 will never forget Mr. Gray tor what h has given of himself to us. DEDICATION IfR MICHAEL HERN Ifr. Hern is an example of a person who enjoys his profession. With a spirited sense of humor and wide knowledge of is subjects, he transfers his personal enthusiasm into his classes, which is no easy task for Economics and History. But what is most remembered about him is that he considers his students as equals, allowing them to voice their opinions. We’ll remember Mr. Hern because he takes “stock” in his students. In this event some of the world’s greatest pop stars came to life and visited MHS through the stu- dents. Those who performed dressed up, danced and sang to their favorite music. Those in the audience clapped along and cheered for their favorites. Their cheers this year decided that Dan O’Gara would win with his rendi- tion of Madonna’s ‘‘Burning Up”. A fine time was had by all.
