He is sensitive, caring, and often uses his quick wit to start off everyone ' s day right. He ' s not only a great teacher but also a great guy. He loves to get involved and always encourages school spirit. We will never forget Mr. Gardner ... or his crummy jokes! I I I DEDICATION How does one describe Mr. Chiminello? -with a beard or without? Easy-going and always patient with those not so — easy to handle students, Mr. Chiminello is liked by all. Around every corner one can see his warm smile; the class of “83 will remember a real friend. 19 ADMINISTRATION Dr. Paul McDonald Asst. Supt.. Dr. Daniel Bresnahan Supt. of Schools. The show, called TWAIN BY THE TALE, ran for three nights — December 9, 10, and 11, starring Joey Hewitt as Mr. Twain himself, and a talented cast of players including Kerry Ryer, Chris Worsh, Kim Brough, Dave Mitchell, Laurie Get- tings, Warren Garrett, Kimm Upton, Gary Killen, Mary Beth Hewitt, and Michael Shutt who brought all the characters and narrators to life for everyone to enjoy. From an eye-opening look at bureaucratic red-tape and regulations in “NOAH AND THE BU- REAUCRACY” to an ironic peek at the age-old tradi- tion of “THE GREAT FRENCH DUEL”, Director Bern Budd with the help of stage manager-Mary Beth Hewitt, her assistant-Michael Shutt, and techni- cal director-Chris Geary managed to bring out the best in both cast and crews for a thoroughly enjoy- ahlp nrnrilirfinn CAFETERIA STAFF Back Row: Chio Parua, Dorathy Skeridan. Four semi-talented groups of stu- dents and one extremely profes- sional group of faculty members were introduced by Pat Spellman to the assembled multitude. The Point- er Sisters (Kerri Shaughnessy, Ann Reilly, and Marguerite Morris) opened the festivities. Sonny and Cher (Amy Camelio and Tracey Brennan) crooned the next time. The delicately petite Go-Go’s (Nick Nobili, Joe Sheehan, Dave Rand, Tom McGrath, and Tom Pomella) Got the beat” next. The maginifi- cent Beach Boys (Mr. Gardner, Mr. Pearch, Mr. Jarvis, Mr. Haddad, and Mr. Dupuis) then brought the crowd to its feet with rousing renditions of Help Me, Rhonda and Barbara Ann. Knowing they had a tough act to follow. The Blues Brothers (Terry Martin, Mike Laffin, and their band) pulled out all the stops and played as if they were on a mission from God. The ending was predictable. Every- one thought The Beach Boys were the hit of the show but fell prey to The Blues Brothers ' hype and gave them the sympathy vote as the evening’s top act. The inevitable cries of Encore” filled the air. but all the entertainers were too busy backstage posing for Mariner pho- tos and fighting off adoring grou- pies. SPIRIT WEEK, PEP RALLY, THANKSGIVING GAME Spirit Week is one which every class looks forward to. This year there was a lot of competition between each class for the Spirit Award. Each class showed definite effort in decorating their respective hallways. Freshmen: Sink the Sailors Sophomores: Wizard of Oz Juniors: Pac Ram-Video Games Seniors: Abracadabra- Rams can do Magic The Juniors won. defeating the Seniors who had won the Spirit Award during their Sophomore and Junior years. At the pep rally, the Seniors applauded the Juniors for their effort and spirit. Then that Thursday, November 25. 1982, the Rams played the Sailors at Scituate.
