Cohan’s “Seven Keys to Baldpate” in the Furnace Brook Auditorium. The play was set at old Baldpate Inn, a summer mountain resort, in the dead of winter. A young writer made a bet with his friend that he could write a book in only 24 hours, and deserted Baldpate seemed the ideal place to write without interruptions. However, the inn was full of mur- derers, ghosts, crooks, double-crossers, hundreds of thousands of dollars and keys and keys and keys. Both veterans and newcomers made up the cast: seniors Ben Silva, Bruce Palmer, Karen Acker and Mike Nel- son; junior Peter Buckley; sophomores Cam Thornley, Mike Henry, Bob Frye and Jeannie Champagne; and fresh- men Greg Powers, Eric Casemiro, Dave Lynch, Sally Pollard and Holly Smith. 40 41 Drama Club 42 Members: Michelle Chandless, Arthur Morrison, Ellen Cooper, Melanie Sipe, Daryl Santucci, Kelly Gallagher, Jeannie Champagne, Amy Frazier, Julie Gaudion, Ben Silva, Irene Duenas, Mike Donague, Kelly Demers, David Camelio, Karen Gal- lagher, Maura McKenna, Heather Mori- son, Leanne Mirarchi, Sheila McAleer, Mary McHugh, Karen Watson, Liza North, Eric Casomiro, John Creed, Andy Howard, Irene Kelly, Margaret Larkin, Bob Frye, Ann Habel, Michelle Gloster, Glen Guimond, Pat Buresch, Janice Casey, Craig Alvey, Ann M. Last ear’s queen, Cathy Whalen, gave up her crown to the beau- tiful llene Prochazka. Royal runners-up were Sue Connelly and Karen Acker. A royal Procession . . . . Look at Mike, He’s got six hands!” 61 Play It Again Sam Nullis Pretit, Latin for “of no commer- cial potential, ” is a group of high school students who got together to produce plays on their own, outside the high school. Their first production, “Play It Again, Sam” ran January 6 and 7 at the Martinson middle School. “Sam” was well-received, with good-sized audiences and good re- views. The production, directed by Andy Thorn- ley and Julie Frugoli, starred Arthur Mori- son as Alan Felix, Bill Mueller as Dick Christie, Kelly Powell as his lovely wife Lin- da, and Phil Brennan as Humphrey Bogart, with Karen Acker, Joanna Johnson and llene Prochazka. 63 Key Club Assembly Who would have thought that on an ordi- nary February school day Marshfield High School could be visited by a famous hypno- tist named Edward Mathews? Who could forget that memorable day when the real character of the students was revealed? One can remember the antics of Mary Leahy standing up and yellling “what are you some kind of a nut!!!” Or Jody Roderick thinking he was attending an obscene show. Who could forget the incident between Chipper Reilly and Lisa Gilbert or Mar- ueen O’Shea’s boat ride? These are all memories that will be remembered long after we graduate. The class of ’78 would like to thank the Key Club for this fine performance. 64 Blizzard Of 78 66 Cj Y ‘ ' s -thccoojL.e. ccMMoal ' ‘’1errect fc 0 i + ' ne coo t e, . . j ' -t ' o tcafure.
