One very important project of the Student Council this year has been the revision of the school dress code. This is a good exam pie of their dedication as arbitrators between the administration and the student body. The experience gained in the democratic process will serve the members in good stead when they take their places as citizens of the country. Checking in books, checking out books, and rearranging books on shelves are some of the tasks they enthusiastically perform under the able direction of Miss Andrews. Once a year, they conduct a Book Fair which has become a tradition at Marshfield High. There is no doubt that this annual sale has stimulated in the student an in- creased interest in reading. Its members are active, intelligent student leaders who readily volunteer their services for any worthwhile activity. The Key Club has helped in such varied activities as rearranging the bookshelves at the Ventris Library and helping the police de- partment locate lost children. They are playing a key role in the building of the new Marshfield Youth Center. Its motto, ”We Build is well deserved, for the Key Clubbers build up students ' pride for their school and town. Because of these boys, support is rallying in many activities, as their eager, enthusiastic spirit is caught by other members of the student body. The Key Club is successful - -it builds character. Their determination after two tough losses early in the season enabled them to sustain a fine record. The inspiration of the coaches produced the most important aspect of football, loyalty to one another. With the many talented underclassmen on this year’s team, the future football teams of M.H.S. can look forward to many more winning seasons in the next few years. Mr. Pratt, S. Tibbetts, D. Highlights of the evening were the Grand March, led by the class officers, and the coronation of the queen, Debby Ames. Debby reigned upon a red and gold throne against a background of heraldic coats -of -arms, spring flowers, and medi- eval arches. MARSHFIELD HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION AWARDS-- 1967 D.A.R.
