Mr. Edwin A. Martinson Superintendent of Schools 1953-1964 For twelve years a man familiar to all the students and townspeople has provided a leadership in Marshfield schools - Mr . Edwin A. Martinson. It takes a wise man to steer a course that includes the best of the two educational worlds: excellence and harmony. This Mr. Martinson has done with great success. During his tenure, he brought excellence in education to Marshfield. It was his sincere effort that he helped make the Marshfield schools a top educational system in Massachusetts. From the time we, the Class of 1965, began our first attempts at education in first grade, Mr . Martinson was hard at work to give us the best there was to to offer . His work followed us through elementary, junior high, and high school. And after twelve years he is leaving us with memories of all he has done. And for this, in deepest appreciation for his service to us and our town, we thank him!
