THE EDITORS SPEAK vx;cs Elizabeth ,avia Our 1961 TIDE is the record of our Senior year, the important year in which we have learned to be citizens of the world, members of the human community. World progress and modernization insist that we progress and mod- ernize. The staff has streamlined many of the book ' s pages. Discarding old - fashioned methods , adopting new techniques, we have attempted to include all aspects of our school life: curricular and co-curricular activities. We hope that the school and town com- munities will like the revised format. Of all those who have helped us we would like to thank especially Mr. Idyla Etelman, Literary Adviser, and Miss Elizabeth Ellard, Business Adviser. Deborah Mitchell, Susanne Clark, Co- Editors at work ! Co -Editors
