Principal You seem to understand me JAMES P. ROMEO B.S. in Education, University of New Hampshire M. Education, Boston University As friends we have dwelt in Marshfield ' s wooded hills and valleys and traveled through the pastures of intellectual growth and development. Now you face the great span of adult years, leaving behind you the familiar and beloved paths of youth. As you de- part, remember that you carry with you a part of Marshfield High School. Just as we have given much to you, so have you given a part of yourself which will always remain here--your spirit! You join a long line of alumni who, since 1888 , have distinguished the name of your ALMA MATER. In leaving we ask of you not fame or fortune, but rather that at all times you strive to think, to work, to live your lives in a manner representative of the high ideals and standards which exist in our school. Keep good character as your most cherished possession and serve others as we have tried to serve you. We expect no more of you; we wish only happiness for you. Sincerely, James P. Superintendent Edwin Albert Martinson B.S., Tufts University M.A. in Education, Tufts University As you approach the conclusions of your public school career, you should be reminded that there is only one difference between the successful person and the unsuccessful person. They both have ideas, but the successful person does something with them. The unsuccessful person fails because he sets up a pattern of wishful thinking rather than purposeful action. Sincerely, Edwin A. Martinson More is thy due than more than all can pay ADMINISTRATION HELEN E. SIMMONS Secretary to the Superintendent Still pondering the problems of this new building?
