STUDENT COUNCIL This year the Student Council had one of its most successful years under the leader- ship of Steve Langenberg. The Student Council added four new members to its original student body officers. They are as follows: Song Queen, Historian, Ma-Hi Times Editor, and Mahiscan Editors. The first of its many accomplishments was the Freshman Mixer held in the Boys' Gym. It passed out the student handbook again, but this year the council limited its distribution to Freshmen and new students. The noon movies have improved over the past years, with the cooperation of the Student Council. The selection of films was better and a wide Cinemascope screen was purchased. The new sound system was put in the Girls' Gym and the Student Council rented it to different organizations. The Student Council was in charge of all the National Assemblies. The Council was in charge of the New Year's Eve Ball and was helped by many other clubs on this occasion. The Student Safety Program on the crosswallcs in front of the Boys, Gym was another one of their new projects. Page Twelve It t, 3
