The Cats started their season with a I9-6 win over Des Moines Lincoln. Ron Zwemke, Larry Miller, and Steve Dee scored for the Bob- cats. Jim Hildebrand kicked the extra point. The Bobcats won their first game in the CIC against Boone I4-I2. Scott McLeod and Larry Miller scored for the Cats. Other seniors on the 1960 squad are Jim Smith, Buddy Hunt, and Bob George. Meets were to be held with Ames, Boone, Newton, Grin- nell, and Oskaloosa. The squad was also scheduled to par- ticipate in the District Meet and the CIC Meet. The 1959 tennis team won its fourth conference in five years as Craig Carlson took the singles title and Dennis Ritland and Mike Yordy won the doubles crown. These three also won the singles and doubles titles at the District Meet in Ames. This year's prospects look as bright if not brighter than last years.
