T' U ,- ,. p- 1 - u- l Sextette Entertains at Assembly VUEALISTS ATTAIN HUNURS Major production of the vocal music de- partment was the three-act operetta, A Waltz Dream tStrausJ. The leading char- acters in this operetta of colorful court life were Marshall, Miller, and Lane. Others of the cast and chorus Were taken from the various glee clubs. Including Marshall, Hall, Lane, Kin- naird, Marquardt, and Taylor, the girls' sez-:tette entered the state contest, where it received an excellent rating. The trlo composed of Edwards, Shipton, and Berk- ley earned a similar rating at the state meet. Besides entering contests, these two groups made numerous appearances throughout the year at both school and outside functions.
