They took second in the con- ference and won the sectional title. ln their first game they defeated Mason City who later won the state title. ln a mid- season game they defeated Austin, Minne- sota, who were also champions of their state. Captain of the track team, Bill Brint- nall, waits for the gun to start the 100-yard dash. These boys compose the first track team in M. H. S. since l93l. 'l'heV attended several meets in the state, at each one raising the esteem of their opponents for them. Most of the members are juniors and sophomores and will be the nucleus for a strong team next year. Floyd McCarthy '33 came into his own this year as a 440-yard clash man. His sprints during the last 50 yards always macle points for M. H. S. Another of the track events the Bobcats excelled in this year was the 440-yarcl relav. These four runners can hnrn up anv man's track, and clid. Mr, Kingsbury is on his way to lunior High to coach future Roh- cats in the gentle art of blocking and tack- ling. Outstanding and Informal This shut, taken from the halcony of the auditorium, presents an informal view of an assembly audience. Mr. Miller, principal of the high school, is conducting the as- sembly before turning the program over to the orchestra. Interested, hored, indifferent -students greet the musical program glad to skip a class or shorten one. Several times during the year paid assemblies are held and pupils enjoy the best of nmsic and speakers, And every time we hear ot' one- act plays, we know that the best ones will he presented for an assemhly. lfriendly-that's Lucille Hilderhrand '35, who with her braces will soon be walking again after nine years in her wheel chair. These modern llomosthenes, Daven- port, Cole, Kneeland, Lents, and Green, are niembers of the Hi-Y gospel team. During the winter this quintet visited small towns of the county presenting the three discussions they prepared, Helen Harris reveals that smile which won her the popularity contest at the junior College carnival. The sheeted ones are Siegrist, Miller, Bowman, Farher, Shcely, Graham, NVilson, Fleshman, Fen- wick, and the corpsct U, june l,aT'lant. The white togas represent the trend of clothes in the time ofthe Caesars. The only things really lacking are the Roman noses.
