specud eJu th'on There is a minority of physically handicapped students attending Marshall-U at this time. These students have achieved almost complete integration into the classes for non-handi- capped students. In addition to having these classes, they take adapted Physical Education, Health. Typing, Office Skills. Industrial Arts, and Foods. To help them with this heavy schedule are many skilled teachers, nurses and aides. The regular teachers also get into the act by helping transport these students from home to school and back home again. Hearing impaired students attend Phy. td. and Art with normally hearing students. The rest of the day is spent in small groups with other hearing impaired students learning Social Studies. English, and Math, plus special classes to teach lip reading and sign language, keeping the students and special education teachers busy all day.
