The economy or the environment, which should we choose? In one direction lies a distant, hut certain destruction of nature and our resources. The other direction offers a long hard climb to the preservation of our natural beauty. We're going to have to suffer shortages and inconveniences for this preservation, but is that too much to ask for living in a world with green trees and hillsides or clean air and water? Well, there you have it, two choices. I've already made mine. Rjy Rjppold Chicl Photographer 1974-1975 Q We've just come through the pseudo-environmental period, at least that's the way a supposedly learned instructor termed it. There are those who believe that the environmentalists will ruin this country, in fact, they are the only ones who can save it. The ones who cry, We aren't hurting anybody, leave us alone,'' are the ones who daily pollute our air and water or strip our land of its identity. They have to be controlled or there won't be anything left. If the people don't listen to the pseudo-environmentalists , it may be too late to even say, I told you so ... RR I)
