J AZZ BAND Students who took Stage Band for mini-courses also competed in Sun Prairie. They performed at three grade schools and played in one student assembly. This is the last jazz band to be directed by Mr. Main at Marshall. Mr. Main said he is very pleased with this enthusiastic group and remarked that this is one of the strongest bands he has ever had. Laura Jenkins, Jill Haeberlin. 64 The seventh grade band, which consists of fifty-six members meets two days per week. The band includes both first and second year players. Their activities include a fall concert, assembly programs, and various grade school pro- grams. In the Spring Con- cert, the seventh grade band performed a joint musical presentation of Star Wars with the Honor Band. The seventh grade band hopes Mr. Main will have an enjoy- able retirement.
