BOYS PLUNGE INTO VICTORY The eighth grade swim team has many fine individual swimmers on it. If they continue to improve at the present rate they will be conference champions in both eighth and ninth grades. Coach Rabideau feels the boys are very easy to work with and try very hard. According to Coach Lewis, the ninth grade team has made an excellent effort. They have made great improvements over the sea- son. Approximately twenty-two boys are on the team. More people have joined swim this year than ever before. Each swimmer had a good attitude and cooperated very well. WRESTLING 8 IS GREAT This years top eight grade wrestlers were Mark Bateman and Mike Indjer, who were both undefeated for the entire sea- son. Coach Scheunemann says this was one of the finest teams he has ever coached. The score may be misleading but this really was an excellent team; all of the matches were close and the record could have easily been 4-0. GIRLS SWIM TO VICTORY The ninth grade swim team was undefeated in dual meet competi- tion and they also won the City Meet this year. They easily dominated their opponents winning at least eight of the ten events. Amy Gab- ower, Francie Ryan, Gail Reddy, Barb Bortner, Maria McNulty, and Brenda Baker all broke city records. The team's successes were due to balance, depth and a hard working, winning attitude. It was a pleasure working with such a classy group of girls, said Coach Thompson.
