When asked, Mr. Figi and Mr. Kieman, the eighth grade football coaches, said they feel this year's team's defense was outstanding. The team only gave up two touchdowns. Marshallis 100 pound football team was the city champion team this year. The team won three games, lost zero and tied one. Mr. Lundgren, the team's coach, feels the team was a nice group of boys having much athletic potential. He also added that they were the best passing team he's worked with in the last ten years and should help Marshall in the future to win more cham- pionships. 9th GRADE FOOTBALL AND 7th GRADE INTRAMURAL CHAMPS Mr. Pedersen, tne ninth grade football coach thinks that the team is much improved over last year. He also feelsthat the team set its sights on a winning season and through dedication and hard work they achieved this goal. The teams overall record was four wins and oneloss. The Marshall Intramural program is run by volunteer instructors to allow seventh graders to participate in an extra-curricular sports program. These sports include flag football tshowni. basket- ball, volleyball, and track. Also offered is a free swim session twice a week after school. GOLF WAS TEE - RIFFIC This year's golf teams worked very hard. The ninth grade team was undefeated. This year's eighth grade team had a record of six wins and two losses. The ninth. grade team must be doing something right to have been undefeated for two years, com- mented Coach Nehs. They will be a tremendous addition to the Craig team. With dedication they could be as good as they wanted. They deserve a lot of credit. The eighth grade team is the most improved team Ive ever had, he added. Doug Davis was the player with the best average on the ninth grade team. Rick McCue had second place and Toni Mark had third. The eighth grade star player was Ed Maginot. Row 1: Bill Black.
