Coach Mrs. Nobiensky. The ninth grade volleyball team completed this season with second place finishes in the Conference and City meets. The eighth grade volleyball team took first place honors in the City Meet while finishing the season in third place. Coach Nobiensky commented, More important than the records is the excellent conduct and attitude the girls displayed at all practices and games. They represented their parents and Marshall most commendably.

At the games they lead the student body in cheers, and helped promote school pride and spirit. All the cheerleaders attended camp at Whitewater during the summer. There they learned to W w' t t t t 1 t develop new cheers and actions. They are responsible for pompon and cheerleading mini courses. In the spring they train and help elect new cheerleaders. The Marshall Intramural program is run by volunteer instructors to allow seventh graders to participate in an extra-curricular sports program. These sports include flag football tshowni. basket- ball, volleyball, and track. Also offered is a free swim session twice a week after school.
