The first two rounds of the tournament were won easily as Marshall defeated both Kelly and Serin, with scores of 75-55 and 62-43 respectively. The third game against Dunbar was close for both teams. Art Day scored six points in the last minute of play making the final score 43-41. Lake View, rated as one of the best teams in the city, bowed to the Commandos by a score of 7o-58. During the game against Du Sable, the Commandos led throughout most of the game, but lost their lead near the end of the last quarter. With the score tied, the game went into a double overtime. However the Commandos bounced back to win eight successive games, including victories over Roosevelt and Von Steuben, Marshall Finally met the Du Sable Panthers Who stopped the former's winning streak in the I.I.T. tournament. This sport helps develop the girls in foot work. Rising slowly to fame among the girls at Marshall is a new sport kick baseball.
