What Do You Want. Good Grammar? Read! Read! Read! The teacher says the deadline is tomorrow and you've just found your book after losing it three weeks ago. Okay class, write a theme on the central character depicting three ideas which help to strengthen or weaken him in the book. You didn't understand a word she said because you were trying to finish your book before tomorrow. Write a who? On what? She says that a rough draft is expected from each of you. And you, not listening reply, a rough draft? Oh yes, it is rather cool in here. Then the teacher says watch your punctuation. And you wonder, how can you watch your punctuation when you're trying to do everything else. Well, you've finally got your paper back and guess what? You got a good grade. Your mechanics were good and so were your contents. And your punctuation, only one error. The anguish and panic was worth it. You accomplished what you thought couldn't be done, by you, anyway.
