THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH! This is a book of memories. As you turn its pages, we hope that it will help you to remember more clearly the part you played under the Big Topv of Marshall High School. As you read it, remember again the long slow trip to the center ring where you made your final bows as a senior. Feel again the tension you experienced as you approached the office of the head man on a memorable occasion and remem- ber the bunch of clowns who kept classes in an uproar. Never to be forgotten are final examina- tions that made everyone think he was walking a tight rope. Experience again the feeling of one- ness that you had on any day at M.H.S. when you stood and watched the parade of people, knowing that each one would be loyal to the cry of hey rubeu from a fellow Maverick. Never again will there be such a gay, colorful midway- a thoroughfare of slamming lockers, of giggling voices and smiling, friendly faces. Never again will the cheers from the stands seem quite so strong as the days when you were doing the cheer- ing, when the top performers were the people who sat by you in English or passed you in the halls. These were the days when you shared the suc- cesses and failures of every Maverick-the days when you were playing your part, whether it was large or small, to make up the great show that was presented during the year 1955-56 under the Big Top of Marshall Senior High.
