A new point system was begun this year for earning grades. Students receive points for performing at concerts, football games, parades, Bac- calaureatefflommencement, as well as at- tending extra rehearsals. They can also earn extra credit by giving in-class solos, writing reports, or helping to set-up or tear-down for concerts. Juniors and seniors will receive a red 4'M', letter. Freshmen or sophomores who have earned 70 points will also receive the letter. Bars will be awarded to any band stu- dent earning an additional 35 points.
