Scholastic Team performs a ln between fits of rage and near-brawls, the varsity scholastic team posted an 18-11 record this year. The calmer and more boring junior- varsity team completed the year with an 11-9 standing. The team also placed second at the conference tournament behind Oblong. The now famous Christmas party was held at the home of the team's sponsor, Mrs. Cris Fitzjarrald, and when last seen her house was still shaking on its foundation. In its fourth year at MHS, the team credits all of its success to the fantastic coaching of Mrs. Fitzjarrald, A. Displaying the emotions of tears, laughter, and don'l care at the Christmas party are Betty Prewett, Sherri Bucher, and Jim Prevo. B. All the scholastic team members seem to know what is going on except for Mrs. Fitzjarrald. Hmmm . . .! Row 1: Lisa McQueen, Cathy Ryan, Lee Ann Nave, Nancy Horn- brook, Betty Prewett, Kris Lindley, Tami Wallace, and Mrs. Fitzjarrald. Row 2: Everett Brandt, Joseph Bennet, Greg English, Jim Prevo, Angie Jordan, and Sherri Bucher. Not pictured is David Baba. C. Lee Ann Nave got just a bit too wild at the Christmas par- ty, but recovered after being slapped in the face many times. D. No doubt that Abby Fitzjarrald will undergo treatment in her later life as a result of the trauma caused her at the Christmas party. E. The jv team tries its best to fulfill the scholastic bowl credo - Look as bored as you can, and, if possible, fall asleep. Sponsored by First Christian Church
