BUSINESS The aim of the Business Depart- ment, this year, was to increase pro- duction and accuracy in business A cooperative plan gave seniors the chance to apply their knowledge through training on the job, A new course, Briefhand, was offered to college preparatory students. This one-semester course is an abbrevi- ated longhand system, and should prove of great value to the college student in taking notes. LANGUAGE Both oral and written communica- tion were the new emphasis in the modern foreign language classes. Two experimental groups at the eighth year level -- one in Latin and the other in Spanish were form- ed. Electronic devices - tape re- corder, record players, and television have helped improve diction.
