We, your 1960 graduates, in leaving, would like to pay tribute to you. We realize that the most formative part of our years was spent here and we will always recall many fond memories. To open our freshman year in 1956, we elected Tom Aills as class presi- dent and Anita Martens as vice-president. Mr. Spooner and Mrs. Glines were chosen as class sponsors. The girls joined many clubs and the boys began parti- cipating in sports. Our homecoming float carried the theme Let's Ball ,Em Up and took third place, while Pam Aylward served on the queen's court. A Myron Wasielewski, president, Sandy Chapin, vice-president, and Jackie Snyder, secretary-treasurer, were our sophomore class officers, with Mr. Mack and Miss Evans as our sponsors. Larry Fitch was elected secretary-treasurer of the student council. Sandy Chapin was chosen for the queen's court for home- coming, while Janet Hoenes served on the track queen's court. Our big projects this year were the Puff Ball, the car wash, and the Hoat, a large stork carrying twins with the theme We're Expectin' T'win. In our junior year, Penny McMahan was elected president, jerry Elyea, vice-president, and Pam Aylward, secretary-treasurer. Our sponsors were Mrs. Fitzgerald, Miss Shafer, and Mr. Hodnett. The highlights of this year included our first-place Boat, We'l1 Be 'Head 'Em , our class play, The,Little Dog Laughed , our magazine sale, and our J-Hop, 'fAround the World In 80 Days. Jackie Snyder was elected to the queenls court this year and Joan Mumaw was chosen to be an exchange student in Germany for the summer. For our senior year, the greatest and most memorable of all our high-school days, Jim Pyle was elected president, Janet Hoenes, vice-president, and Tina Bynum, secretary-treasurer. Miss Merritt and Mr. Hodnett served as our class sponsors. Several honors came to our class members in 1959 and '60: Larry Fitch was elected president, and Kay Ulrich, vice-president of student council . . . Pam Aylward and Jackie Snyder were chosen by our boys to reign over homecoming . . . Jim Pyle was selected on the Twin Valley All-Conference foot- ball team . . . the girls chose Tina Bynum as D.A.R. girl . . . Sue Zinn was Bnalist for N.M.S.Q.T. Other events included welcoming our exchange student, Karl Wolff, from Germany, Papa Was A Preacher, our senior play, Class Day, the senior picnic, Baccalaureate, and Graduation. Thank you, MHS . . . all of these experiences will remain among our fondest memories. il
