Donna likes athletics and joined G.A.A, 2 yrs. The 1954 G.A.A, formal is her most memorable event. The future of a secretary holds a spot for cute Donna after school. LARRY W. BARTLETT KARL J. ALBAUGH Are You Living Ole Man? Vivacious Arb served as president of Student Council this year. Karl played Varsity football 3 yrs. ico-captain Jr. yr.J, Varsity Basketball 2 yrs. lco- captain Jr. yr.D, Baseball 3 yrs., Var- sity Club lpresidentl, Journalism 1 yr. lSports Edj, and Sr. Play. Karl's witty sayings are his trademark. Plans college after graduation. If Hearts of Stone Larry was often found at the Shell Station or with Jim Murray, Jim Rapp or Ken Cook. He was active in track one year. The outstanding event of Larry's high school days was the time he helped throw Henry into Wilder Creek. Larry plans to be a draftsman after graduation. CHARLOTTE ANN BARGER Angel Eyes Mischievous Charry buzzed through' 4 years G.A.A., 2 yrs. Latin Club, 2 yrs., Spanish Club, 2 yrs. Usher Club, Journalism, and led cheers for 2 yrs. Char was on the make-up crew for the Jr. play and had a bit part in the Sr. play. This little ball of fire will attend college in the fall. ' A.- DONALD ALLEN Sparrow in the Tree Top Fun-loving Don played basketball and football. He also went out for track and participated in the Varsity Club. Sportsmanlike, he belonged to the Conservation and Biology Clubs. Don also worked on the Jr. Play stage crew and was our tramp in the Sr. play. After graduation, we'll find Don hard at work, lx PHYLLIS BAKER Take Me Out to the Ball Game Friendly Phyllis contributed her many athletic talents to G.A.A. 4 years, and in her Senior year did an ex- cellent job portraying an old woman in the Senior play. He played in the Orchestra l yr. and was in the Chess Club. His pals were Bill Lauten- John Bellairs, Yancey Smith slager, and Dick Lawrence. Our State Farmer will attend M.S.C. in the fall. 7

She was a mainstay in debate, associate editor of this book, active Latin and Spanish Clubs, and was out- standing in both plays, HANS SCHULER Hans will long be remembered by his teachers for the friendly, unaffected man- ner in which he executed to perfection the various tasks he assumed. BELL Lovely Lady Samantha or Sammy, was a quiet but a very busy girl. She was in Orchestra 5 yrs, The 2 yrs. she participated in the Senior Amateur Show both brought first place in the vocal di- vision. Sammy worked on committees for both the Jr. and Sr. plays. Her plans include college with emphasis on music and a BEVERLY JEAN BENNETT Quiet Girl Quiet Bev participated in G.A.A, 2 yrs., F.H.A. 2 yrs., Library Club 4 yrs,, Band, and 2 yrs Orchestra. Standing out most in her memory was receiving first division on her solo in the District Festival. She plans taking a business course and then work at State Farm after graduation. wal. RICHARD C. BEATTIE Crazy legs Speedy Richard kept busy in high school with I yr. reserve football, 3 yrs. track, and 2 yrs. Varsity Club. Dick was usually found at the Mar- shall Bowling Lanes with his friends Dick Delaney and Roland Coats. He plans to go to work after graduation. JOHN RANDALL BASSEMIER Carefree Fun-loving Bonzo played football 2 yrs. at M.H.S. and l yr. for E. Lan- sing. Randy could usually be found at the Ritzee with his buddies, Ron. Sid, Bru, and Little Red. Outstanding in Randy's memories is coming back to M.H.S. to graduate. Bonzo's future plans include Western Michigan College. CAROL MARGARET BEUKER Swinging on a Star Charming Carol breezed through A years G.A.A., 2 years Spanish Club, 2 years debate, Journalism, was on the make-up crew for Senior Play, and sang in the amateur show 3 years. Playing the lead in the Junior play will always be remembered by our popular slowpoke. Carol's future plans include college at Hope. 4 ' . Journalism, and was on the Senior Play stage crew. Shirley's favorite hang-out was M.H,S. and will never forget Mr. Grant keep- ing her after class. Shirley Myers and Nancy McKee were special in her life. Shirley plans to attend M.S.C.
