m eSAacji Do s: n i or5 The 1957 school year will soon be at an end. For some it means the end of all formal schooling, but for others it will be the beginning of further study for a profession or a career. You have reached the first real milestone in your lives. From now on your life is in your hands—you arc the engineer. Ic be successful you need, first, a strong purpose, then the will to succeed, and finally a substantial amount of courage and faith in your own ability. With these ingredients you cannot fail. May I thank every member of the senior class for his cooperation this year. To each of you I wish the best that life has to offer. Principal Mr. Walter L. Chapman

OFFICE CLERKS Mrs. Miller Mrs. Kowolin Miss Holden Mrs. George Mrs. Little Mrs. Musikov Knowledge is power. This statement is as true today as when it was first uttered. Indeed, knowledge is more essential to success than it has ever been, because living has become much more complex. To become a leader requires very exhaustive knowledge of one's work and a variety of knowledge concerning all matters bearing upon it. Leadership calls for study and knowledge of human nature. In the olden days native ability often was enough to enable a man to succeed in his own local sphere. As we know, no man can maintain successful leadership who does not possess knowledge and who docs not keep thoroughly abreast of the times in all the wide variety of developments. In other words, Knowledge is power, and can be aquired only by sincere, serious and perservering effort. Set your goal, turn your face toward it, and never under anv circumstance, turn your back to it.
