SILVER TRI — HI-Y'S The Marshall Silver Tri has been very active this year, having a talent program M.C.'d by Kay Bonner, and a bowling party at the Y.W.C.A., also many other interesting activities. The 1st semester officers were: Pres., Marlene Myhre: Vice-Pres., Mary Birmingham; Secretary, Zoe Van Alstine: Treasurer. Marjorie Sharp; and I.C.C., Cathie Olson. The second semester officers were: Pres., Barbara Skillings; Vice-Pres.. Marilyn Rongstead: Secretary, Jean Fors-berg; Treasurer. Zoe Van Alstine; I.C.C., Cathie Olson. Miss Elaine Selseth was the advisor from Y.W.C.A.; Miss Trumble and Miss Tweig were the faculty advisors. The Junior Hi-Y is divided into three groups. These are located in the districts of Marcy. Pratt, and Tuttle. The presidents of the groups are: Waldo Larson — Marcy, Bob Selchow — Tutte, and Jim Hunt — Pratt. The three groups meet every Tuesday, and they hold a general meeting once a month. The Junior Hi-Y has had many projects this year, one of them being woodcraft. ROW It Erickson. Smith. Oemcok. Some of the Blue Tri activities this year included sending Thanksgiving baskets to two needy families, sponsoring a dance The Holly Hop with Seton Hi, conducting a Lenten Service with Hi-Y, selling Christmas cards to raise money for the treasury, and a Mothers-Daughters spring tea. Miss Elaine Selseth from the Y.W.C.A., served as advisor from the Y, and Miss Florence Turnquist and Miss Barbara Hall have assisted as faculty advisors. The cabinet was presided over by Viola Benjegerdes, President. The other officers were: Vice-President, Camilla Langguth; Secretary. Kathleen Heron: Treasurer, Carmen Corey, ond I.C.C., Pat Miller. Unit chairmen were Joyce Harris. Shirley Anderson, Betsy Christensen, and Cynthia Elwell. Sandra Kranhold served as Religious Interest Chairman.
