roiNNjeApous public LiouAav nruuersjtruj THE 1950 CARD INAL MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY MINNEAPOLIS TO THE SENIORS: Many of you with courage have stood up and fought for good to others when odds were against you. Many of you with talent have unselfishly contributed it for the benefit of the entire school. You have led in missions which have wiped out public disapproval of careless acts which seem to over-hang the reputation of this school. You have carried a spirit of unselfish loyalty in support of worthwhile school activities. You have represented the school in city-wide programs in an admirable manner. In publications, sports, school government, dasswork, service, and participation in the community, you have been able to make your own decisions and carry them to completion with honor to your class and school. We are proud of you. We wish each of you joy and success in your future life. =4 f (fattenfo FACULTY............Page 5 CLASSES ..........Page 11 CLUBS -------- Page 27 SCHOOL LIFE........Page 37 ATHLETICS..........Page 49 THE CARDINAL FOR 1950 Published by the Seniors of Marshall High School Minneapolis, Minnesota TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY EDITION CARDINAL Science Mis Florence Turnquist Mr. Lester Mikelson Mr. Uoyd Jerdee Miss Mildred Trumble Assistant Principal and Counselors Mr. Walter Chapman Mrs. Celeste Leemhuis Miss Lenore Coltman Nurse and Visiting Teacher Miss Barbara Hall Miss Ethel Osberg Common Learnings Miss Mabel Vincent Mrs. Lottie Neff Mr. Oliver Severson Mrs. Mary Roman Office Miss Lucille Holden Miss Lorraine Dahl Mrs. Mary Dymanyk Librarians Miss Ruth Marfell Miss Mae Arlander Common Learnings Miss Irora Bement Miss Ann Dahl Mrs. Ann Capstick Miss Margaret Holliday CENSORS English Miss Hilma Skalbeck Mrs. O'Ann Garrett Miss Helen Chapman Mr. Richard Olsen Home Economics (Upper Right) Mr . Graduation had taken its toll and left him with only Frank Demcak, outfiolder; Jerry Ingaldson, third baseman, and Jerry Welch, second baseman. For this reason, this year's diamond squad was mainly composed of untried talent. Copies of the CARDINAL have been sent abroad to promote good will among nations.
