Acting both as assistant principal and head basketball coach, he has be- come the personal triend ot every student in school. Mrs. Celeste lseehmuis, senior counselor, and Miss Lenore Colte man, junior counselor, have been two ot the busiest people at Marshall. They have given invaluable aid to students in se- curing jobs, planning college programs, and checking credits. 00K PRINCIPAZ You leave Marshall High School with a dual responsibili- ty--one to the community and nation ot which you are a part, and the other to your own com- petency. Succeeding in either one without the other is short ot the obligation you have to your- selt and to society. Graduation trom high school does not mean you are prepared to pertorm well as a citizen or at work, That takes many years. Now you are just commencing. Jfmw U. rj THE HUB 0F THE WH El.. December: lt was new it was different, when the S.E.Y.C sponsored a free dance after our first basketball game. lt drew a big crowd, too, possibly because of the low admission' and the fact that we Won our game! Eager spectators crowded the auditorium for the girls' style show, but many of the males were rather bitterly disappointed at finding only the new-look was featuredl The week before vacation, the whole school was full of holiday spirit and excitement, which was climaxed by the lovely Christmas program. Vacation was wonderful with presents and parties galore' Most of the clubs are now left with an empty treasury. And then came New Years Eve- need l say more? Then all of those Usoonftofbe-broken resolutions l made! lanuary. The Dungeon must certainly be suffering from a loss of busi- ness because of the reopening of the Campus Camera and Record Shop, which celebrated by featuring Elliot Lawrenceg and giving away free cokes to all of the Marshallites who happened to be there. Iust think, Diary, l got Mr. Lawrencefs autograph! The smarter members of the audience at Seven Keys to Balde pateh counted to see it there really were seven keys in the new hit that will no doubt reach Broadway shortly. 4 .1 '. aQ f 'A -, fav' :ML-A M' Q, IL, Qypzfff' ' 'x'?
