A Boy 's panel discussion, hair styling consultant, and other informative meetings were held to help the members prepare for their roles as homemakers. After attending District Convention, many members sold M. V. pennants and doughnuts to help send Lana Hagler and Betsy Lish to State Convention. The most exciting event of the year was the announcement of the new officers at their annual formal banquet. Mrs. Kathy Richardson M. V. Home Ec. teacher, was the F. H. A. advisor. She aided the officers in planning the club 's activities and became a friend to all of the members.

The Future Teachers of America is an organization for students looking forward to a career in education. Under the direction of capable officers and their advisor, Mrs. Louise Christensen, the F. T. A. had a very successful year. Interesting films, panels, and lecturers made the members more aware of the pleasures and problems of a teaching career. Finances were gained through various projects including selling popcorn at ballgames. This helped thern send two delegates to State Convention. F. T. A. sponsored parent visiting day and attended a tea given by Delta Kappa Gamma. The final banquet added spice to their 1966-67 F. T. A. organization. 105

Future Farmers of America is an organization for boys who are interested in agriculture, Scott Sexton, Ivan Bullock and Mr. Symons represented Marsh Valley at National Convention. The club participated in many activities including judging contests at the District and South Eastern Idaho State Fair Contests. Kevin Koester earned second place in the Area Public Speaking Contest. State Farmer Degrees were awarded to Scott Sexton and Clinton Andrus. Terry Preslar won a Union Pacific Scholarship. Gerald Wright was a Foundation Award Winner at State in Farm Mechanics. Chosen as the FFA Sweethearts for 1966-67 were: Linda Andrus, Jan Davis, and Melanie Anderson. They were honored at the FFA Banquet held on April 27.
