The Co-ed dance was a big success with the theme Bat Man. The organization was a proud one, cheering the team of every sport on to victory. At the close of the year the blazers were hung up and new officers were chosen for the next exciting year. It's just my Munsterly instinct, said Jan Davis when she received her prize for the best monster corsage at the Co-ed dance. 91

The journalism staff started the year by renaming the paper The Talon. The paper was prev- iously known as The Eagle's Cry. The year's expenses were paid by sponsoring a car raffle and selling candy. The staff learned valuable pointers on improving their news writing by attending the ISU Journalism workshop. Highlight of the year came when the paper re- ceived an award of honorable mention for general excellence at the ISU contest.
