CHOIR The choir enjoyed a wonderful, but busy year. Under the direction of Mr. Gaylen Harris, the choir per- formed at many functions around the area. Several 3 students represented the choir at the Music Clinic l held at American Falls, Idaho. At Christmas, the choir was invited to sing The Messiah in Pocatello 1 with the members of S. I. C. Later, they held a Christmas Candlelight service in the High School l Auditorium and toured to the various elementary schools. In March, the choir was on KUBH T. V. in Logan. At the contest held in Montpelier, the choir I received an Excellent for their performance. 1 This year a small group, called Mar-Val Singers, was chosen to represent the group in smaller programs. GIRl'S CHORUS The Girl's Chorus, under the direction of Gaylen Harris, spent a wonderful year of rhythm and melody. Their program of activities began with their own variety show. They presented two concerts during the year, where they presented group and ensemble numbers. Many of the members participated in the Solo and Ensemble Night in preparation for District Music Festival. At the Festival, the Girl's Chorus received a rating of Excellent. Small groups from the Chorus, also, performed for church and civic groups in the area. Lou Ann Bullock and Debra Whitworth assisted Mr. Harris as the Girl's Chorus student directors.
