W CM The M Club is composed of boys who have earned a varsity letter in any sport at MHS. The club sponsor this year was Mr. Fickas. The club began as its project the earning of money to purchase a movie camera for photographing the teams in action in order to analyze team play. A party which was well received by the student body was given Friday, November 7, by the club. As the basketball season approached, the M Club provided for a special rules interpretation meeting for the adults of the community. A panel was composed of James Mooneyham, Jack Pomatto, and Coach Fickas. New rules were explained and discussed after which questions from the audience were answered Members of the basketball squad were in uniform and demonstrated common play situations. Following the demonstration, refresh- ments were served and a basketball movie was shown. - All alumni basketball players were invited as special guests to be honored at the Moosehart game. A special section of seats was reserved for the honored guests of the evening and they were introduced during the half. President ....... Jack Percassi Vice-President ..... if ri , ddociafion The Girls' Athletic Association, under the direction of Mrs. Ringer, was a very active group this year. Their main event was the Fall Formal to which the entire school body and their guests were invited. This was on November 28. They also sponsored a highly successful square dance, the first all-school party, of the year. After the Streator basketball game on December 3, the girls were in charge of a community dance. Besides sponsoring these social events, the club members were kept busy earning points for health and sports activities in order to win their annual awards. Among those who attended the play-day at Seneca were: Arlene Hanson, Patricia Ganz, Dolores Both, Dorothea Polhemus, June Callahan, Betty Thomas, Cynthia Wheeler and Nancy Johnson. President .......
