The department was accredited during 1967-68 by the National Associa- tion ot Schools of Music.

Physical Education The Department of Physical Education is contin- ually striving to improve facilities and course offer- ings both for required courses and for majors and minors. This year with the aid of the new Chambers Gym and Harrell Pool the department has been able to offer a more varied program which will aid the student's physical development and will contribute to his total health and well-being as he makes prepa- ration forthe future.
