A man or woman who can develop good character with good manners is cducated because everything else will come. Without those two things there is no point of having schoolhouses or school-teachers because you cannot do anything with people who have not developed these two all-important things- character and good manners. l pass this statement from Dr. Nicholas Murray Butler on to the students of Mars Hill College with the hope that they may truly become educated. 14
