SENIORS As we look back across our years at M.H.C1. we shall know that the golden days, each filled with particularly precious nuggets, have made our hearts rich with memories. Some hopes have been shattered, but many dreams have been realized. Although failure has played its part, glorious victories, too, have been ours. Friends have inspired us, and patient faculty members have helped us to unearth the gold of understanding which surpasses all knowledge. The fountain in the sunken garden, a sunrise service on cemetery hill, a hike up Bailey, a snow-capped mountain will become to us intricate and beautiful patterns of memory. When we, with eager hearts and weary eyes, clasp in our hands those long awaited diplomas and depart from Mars Hill, we shall take with us the wealth of pleasant friendships, and ennobled minds. We, the forty-niners, leave with gold in our hearts, a vision of service in our minds. 16
