They have planted in the hills a mountain tree and their labor has watered it till it has become as a sturdy, gigantic oak. It draws the sap from the faithful diligence of its faculty. It is to this source of strength-our administration-that we pay tribute. They have chosen this Hill as a Held in which to plant goodness and knowledge. The numerous bits of philosophy which they sow as grains of wheat go with their students to the ends of the earth. They have pointed out the choicest fields and helped the 4,9'ers unearth the gold of 'cplain living and high thinkingf' They are ever mindful that our generation is not one of hopelessness but one of hope. They lift their eyes with their students to see a great new day dawning-a dawn of great expectation. Their road has not been an easy one, but they have never stopped driving toward a goal of the student's better tomorrow. The lines on their brows are the reins by which they have led students to fields of learning and the gray of their hair is but the ripened harvest of their labors. We are grateful for an administration that takes the student to heart and leaves him with a richer personality and a fuller understanding of the Christian principles. 10
