It reveals the developments taken place throughout this year . . . with each season there came new problems. new situations, new ideas, and new aetivities. To cope with these problems and situationsg to create these ideas and to take part in these aetivitiesg there were the students. For each class there is a different meaning and function for the college. The junior class bring the new material which must be sifted to form new viewpoints indoctrinated with the Mars Hill College ideas. It is not an easy task to adjust oneself to new surroundings, but through the friendly and helpful atmosphere that prevailed over the campus. thejuniors were soon to be ready to assume responsibilities. The seniors return to familiar surroundings and begin to take hold to their new duties with de- termination: they begin to uncover their ultimate goal and hand in hand they look to the future. To the seniors fall a heritage of leadership which brings forth added work and outside interests. The value of a diploma can never be told completely. lt is a symbol of two years of study, of making friends, of cooperation with others, and in short . . . a preparation to enter into the higher educational institutions and to fling open the doors to a greater and fuller life, Some here at iN-'Iars Hill have gained all they expected. others have gained more. and still others have not possessed all they had hoped forg yet. each has matured a great deal and carrying forth with him the art of Christian living in the world that is waiting. When that memorable day dawns. the day in which each must go his own way . . . each with new individual interests and convictions . . . there remains a feeling of fellowship down deep in the heart that will not soon be forgotten.
