WHITE WATER - Ever gone repelling? The White Water Club has done this Cjumping off rocks with a rope about the bodyj at McConnell's Mills. They also camped and canoed at Camp Kon-O-Kwee at the Clarion River. Each member was required to be a member of the YMCA. The officers were: President, Rich Bogang Vice-President, Todd Pinkerton, Secre- tary-Treasurer, Rosie Smith. Mrs. Mary Ann Larson was advisor. CONSERVATION CLUB - A new club came into existence this year under the direction of Mrs. Marilyn Harbison and Mr. Robert Mueller. With a membership of about twenty, the Conservation Club's main purpose was to explore the possible careers in conservation as well as to seek solutions to some of the environmental problems of the com- munity. Energy Crisis Reaches Mars LIBRARY AIDES - First Row: Kathy Kopicko, Sue Barton, Marcia Tisdale, Connie Ritts, Mary Totin, Alice Stoudt. Second Row.' Debbie Stewart, Philip Soergel, Mary Jackson, Janet Rollings, Debbie Herbenick, Cheryl Van Dalsem. A.FS. - Going, going, gone to the lady in the blue hatf' And so Went this year's activities for A.F.S. including an auction held at Adams Elementa- ry School and a Christmas program presented to the grade schools during the holiday season. The purpose of the American Field Service is to create interest and understanding among the members about the various countries as well as to provide help for students to travel through these lands. This pur- pose Was carried out this year through the various club activities with a membership of twenty-five. Library Aides - Whereis that book? When's this due? Did you find any information on...? These and many other questions were handled each day by Mrs. Wassmann, the new librarian, her assistant, Mrs. Bu- low, and their staff of Library Aides. The Aides, a diligent group of dedicated students, helped the li- brary to operate smoothly. They gave up their free time before and after school, during activity periods and study halls to learn and carry out the mechanical chores in the library. A.F.S. - Mary Gebhart, V. olunteers Aid Struggling Students Office Aides - Chris Crawford, Sherry Grannon, Linda Thompson. Office Aides H The Office Aides under the sponsor- ship of Mrs. Mary Jane Heckman provided office help for Mrs. Althea Nevsimal, Mr. Arno Thompson, the library, and some teachers. This is the last year in which the organization, as such, will exist. Next year, the program will be handled by the Business Club as a service project. A. V Aides - Movie Projectors . . . tape recorders. . . overhead projectors . . . record players . . . Mrs. Betty Furka and her staff of A.V. Aides were responsible for these and many more pieces of audio-visual equip- ment. Not only did they have to locate missing equipment and distribute the requested equipment, but also they had to keep all the equipment in good working order. The A.V. Aides succeeded in keeping Mars running with the times. .. 4 ,I 5 .... X A. VZ Aides - Seated: Mrs. Furka, Donna Cashdollar, Kathy Kopicko.
