Talent Show Brings Out Best In tudents Senior Executive Council - John Bogdanich, Sue Dietrick, Peter Ivancic, Peter Butch, Kevin McGrath, Paula Hornick, Howard Ikenberg. This year's National Honor Society served the school and public in many ways. Tutoring students and visiting St. John's Lutheran Home patients were among the projects. Also, a bake sale was held at the PSAT testing area. The purposes of the organization as stressed by advisors Mrs. Lois Latshaw and Mrs. Mary Ellen Jacques were to encourage scholarship, and to be a service to the individual, the school and the communityf, Student and Senior Executive Councils - The eight members of Senior Executive Council led by officers Howard Ikenberg, President, Sue Dietrick, Vice- President, Jayme Cooper, Secretary, and Peter Butch, Treasurer were the governing body for Student Coun- cil. The council members included representatives, elected from the homerooms, who attended the meetings and relayed the goings-on to the student body. Planned projects include Homecoming, the Stu- dent Store, several dances, buying lights for the sign and new furniture for the lounge. One project com- pleted successfully was the issuing of I.D. cards to the student body. Debbie Stewart, Philip Soergel, Mary Jackson, Janet Rollings, Debbie Herbenick, Cheryl Van Dalsem. A.FS. - Going, going, gone to the lady in the blue hatf' And so Went this year's activities for A.F.S. including an auction held at Adams Elementa- ry School and a Christmas program presented to the grade schools during the holiday season. The purpose of the American Field Service is to create interest and understanding among the members about the various countries as well as to provide help for students to travel through these lands. This pur- pose Was carried out this year through the various club activities with a membership of twenty-five. Library Aides - Whereis that book? When's this due? Did you find any information on...? These and many other questions were handled each day by Mrs. Wassmann, the new librarian, her assistant, Mrs. Bu- low, and their staff of Library Aides. The Aides, a diligent group of dedicated students, helped the li- brary to operate smoothly. They gave up their free time before and after school, during activity periods and study halls to learn and carry out the mechanical chores in the library. A.F.S. - Mary Gebhart, V.
